    Anna Borodina is a senior lecturer at the Department of Economics of Enterprise and Management, Institute of Economics and Management, Tver State University (TvSU).
    Ms Borodina has been working at the Department of Economic and Enterprise and Management since its establishment as a subdivision of the Institute of Economics and Management in 2017. In 2020 and 2021, she completed the professional development course on Economics and Management in the Sectors of National Economy having been authorized to carry out professional activities in the field of corporate management and economics of organization in the sectors of national economy, and the advanced training course on Information and Communications Technologies in Management at TvSU
    She has been teaching at Tver State University since 2002 as a part-timer and since 2008 as a full-time employee, the total record of teaching experience making 20 years. She was a visiting scholar at Örebro, Lund and Uppsala universities (Sweden, 2006) and delivered lectures at the University of Helsinki (Finland, 2007). To improve the teaching skills, she participated in the international project on theatre pedagogy in Marburg (Germany, 2017).
    She has two Specialist’s degrees in Philology (1992) and Law (1996) and MA in Linguistics (2018, diploma with honors) of Tver State University. In 2021, she successfully completed the PhD track in Comparative, Historical and Typological and Contrastive Linguistics at TvSU being qualified as a researcher and a teacher with research skills. In 2019 – 2020, she was holding a scholarship of the President of the Russian Federation. In 2021, she won the prize of the Governor of Tver region for scholars because of the outstanding achievements in science and technology as a PhD Student of the Year in the field of social sciences and humanities. She is currently finalizing her PhD project on legal translation at the Department of Theory of Language, Translation and French Philology of TvSU.
    She is an alumna of Gender and Culture Program at the Central European University (CEU) in Budapest, Hungary (1996-1997), Gender Studies Program at the Department of Political Science and Sociology of the European University at St. – Petersburg (2000 – 2001) and the International Program on Gender and the Law and Legal English at Washington College of Law, American University, Washington DC, USA (JFDP fellow, 2003-2004). As an Eastern scholar, she participated in Civic Education Project (CEP) in 1998-2000.
    She represents interests of the Department of Economics of Enterprise and Management and the Institute of Economics and Management at the international scientific and educational offline and online academic and educational events with Russian and / or English as working languages. As an English – Russian translator, she is a member of the editorial board of the anthology “Problems of Management of Socio-Economic Systems: Theory and Practice” published by the Department of Economics of Enterprise and Management.
    Ms Borodina joined the Union of Translators of Russia (UTR) in 2021. Since 1992, she has been translating and interpreting for the Governor’s office of Tver region, large industrial enterprises and companies of Tver, Tver region and the Russian Federation including the multinational corporations. She has been serving as an expert in oral translation (interpretation) at the educational conferences on professional internship for BA students of the “Translation and Translation Studies” program at the Faculty of Foreign Languages and International Communication of Tver State University since 2018. She is a prize-winner of several translation competitions including I prize of the All-Russian Translation Competition “Pasternak and the Western World” (Moscow, 2018) and III prize of the IV All-Russian Competition of Young Translators (Crimea, 2017). As an English translator, she has been awarded the Gratitude of the Head of the City of Tver for the active participation in organizing and facilitating the Day of the City festival and VI Russian Ganza days (2016).
    She participated in a number of scientific conferences and research projects in Russia, Finland, Sweden and the USA. As a translator, researcher and project manager, she was involved in Oxfam GB projects in Russia and the UK focusing on small entrepreneurship, social entrepreneurship, poverty studies, sustainable development and socio-economic development of small Russian towns (2005 – 2010). She conducted several sociological surveys for the Governor’ office of Tver region, Association of Volunteer Centers of the Russian Federation, All-Russian Social Movement “Medical Volunteers”, “Medical services, technologies and standards” LLC, and Tver Regional Charitable Foundation “The Cathedral”. For her contribution to sociological research and professional training of students Ms Borodina has been awarded the Gratitude of the Minister of Social Welfare of Tver region.
    To implement the so called third mission of the university, Anna interacts with Tver Suvorov military school of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation and Tver regional universal scientific library named after A.M. Gorky. For her supervision of students, participation in the jubilee festivities of the library, membership in the jury panel of the contest of declamation in foreign languages and preservation of musical heritage of the linguocultural club “Anefra”, she has been awarded the Gratitude of the director of the Gorky library. She has also been awarded the Commemorative medal and a diploma for the contribution to the development of variety art and commitment to the musical legacy of the People’s Artist of the Soviet Union Klavdia Shulzhenko.
    She is a registered volunteer and member of the steering committee on volunteering activities at the Center on Youth Volunteer Programs Development of Tver State University. She is involved in the career guidance activities under the aegis of the Professional career office at Tver State University in the framework of the project «Compass: volunteers as tutors for pupils to choose the best career options» and professional socialization projects of Tver secondary school № 46. In 2016 – 2020, as a volunteer and a team leader, she received letters of Gratitudes from the head of the Tver regional department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation, major general of the internal service A.R. Grigoryan, the chairperson of the Council of the Association of Volunteer Centers and the chairperson of the Committee on Youth of the Tver region for rendering volunteer services to the senior people in Tver under the conditions of COVID-19 pandemic in the framework of the Public Mutual Assistance Campaign «#MyVmeste». As a consultant and a coach, she was involved in a number of projects organized by Vladimir Potanin and Oxford Fund scholars at TvSU. She has been a member of TvSU scholarship committee since 2019 and PhD scholarship committee since 2020.
    Ms Borodina is engaged in a number of international grant projects at the Institute of Economics and Management and the international projects at TvSU including Erasmus + project FlexWBL 610072-EPP-1-2019-1-LV-EPPKA2-CBHE-JP “Development of a flexible, innovative and practical framework for Work-based Learning (WBL) in higher education of Armenia and Russia”, 15.11.2019 – 14.11.2022. She is a team member of the project «The Center of digital pedagogical support of the learning combined with work in the light of European WBL best practices» (2021 – 2025), the Federal Innovation Platform (FIP) of TvSU.

    Research interests: sociology, psychology and conflictology of management, qualitative methods of socio-economic research, cross-cultural management and intercultural communication, international project management and international cooperation of the Russian Federation. comparative legal studies, international private law and legal support for economic activities of companies, comparative WBL studies, legal translation, academic writing, distance (remote) learning technologies, innovative methods in language teaching, volunteer studies, gender studies.
