Dmitry Y. Borodin graduated from North Kazakhstan University (Petropavlovsk, Kazakhstan) in 1996, (diploma with honors, field of specialization “Teacher of History and English").
From 1996 to 2000 studied at Central European University (Budapest, Hungary) first at an MA and then at PhD program on “Comparative history of East-Central Europe”.
In 2015 he graduated from National Research University “Higher School of Economics” (Moscow) with an MA degree in Management (38.04.02 Program “Management in Higher Education).
Mr. Borodin has been working for Tver State University since 2001, his overall teaching and research experience is nearly 25 years. He started as an assistant at the Chair of Sociology and Political Science (2001-2004) and later worked as assistant and lecturer at the Chair of Sociology (2003-2016), lecturer at the Chair of Human Resources Management (2016-2025) and since 2025 has joined the Chair of Corporate Economics and Management as a lecturer.
In the course of his career, D. Y. Borodin has developed several courses and student progress assessment materials for a number of programs run in the Institute of Economics and Management (TvSU) and has been teaching a whole range of classes in Management and Social Sciences, including “Strategies of Personal and Professional Development”, “Social Interaction in Teamwork”, “Motivation and Incentive Giving in HR Management” , “ Methods of Specific Sociological Research”, “HR Management”, “HR Policy and Workforce Planning”, “Personnel Audit and HR Consulting”, “Sociology”, “Economic Sociology”, “Political Sociology”, “Politics in the Post-Soviet States” and “The Foundations of Russia’s Statehood”.
Mr. Borodin’s scholarly interests range from studying socio-politic processes at microlevel to analyzing macrosocial processes. He has published 20 articles; his Hirsch index is 3.
Dmitry Y. Borodin is deputy director at the Institute of Economics and Management, responsible for moral education of students and extracurricular activities; besides as a tutor he guides students of “HR Management” and “Economic Security” academic programs. In the course of his career, he has been on many occasions awarded rector’s certificates of acknowledgement and letters of recognition.
